The African Marketplace, Inc. is also the primary sponsoring organization of the Los Angeles Annual African Marketplace & Cultural Faire,
a three-weekend end of summer attraction, which attracts more than 250,000. Now in its 18th year, the 2002 event will include over 200
specialty vendors and importers of African fabrics, jewelry, sculptures and art. Additionally, the event includes a Children's Village, Medicine
Tree (traditional and homeopathic remedies) restaurant pavilion, amphitheater, five entertainment stages, music and dance festivals,
art displays, an-African soccer tournament and tennis competitions.
